Nursing Cover

I finally got a chance to sew it.  I love the fabric.  I modeled it off of my Ud.der Co.ver.  I really like my nursing cover as I have big boobs and it is hard to be discreet in public otherwise.  I used it to nurse while walking through Walmart the other day.

Nice bright spingy/ summery fabric

Here you can see the straps, and the boning.

It was pretty easy to make.

1 metre of fabric - $6 ( I already had it,but I think that is what I paid)
1 set of 1 inch D-rings  .90 cents
12 inches of boning $2
thread $1
so for about $ 10 you have a homemade cover

I pretty much followed these steps http://blisstree.com/live/free-pattern-to-sew-your-own-nursing-cover/  if you are interested in making your own.  I didn't measure.

My First Mother's Day

I am so excited that I am Mother this Mother's Day.  I have been anxiously awaiting this to happen for quite a few years.

My hubby asked me what I wanted as he knows his mother was rather miffed that she didn't get a card from my FIL for her first Mother's Day.  I told him something memorable.

This is what he got me

I will not forget that at all.  He also got me a first Mother's Day card.

1 month Old

So yesterday Benjy turned 4 weeks old, but since months other than February are not 28 days, tomorrow he is 1 month old.

Stats

Newborn
8 lbs 1/2oz
19 3/4 inches

1 month

11lbs 13.5 oz
22 inches

My little boy is getting bigger.  Newborn stuff does not fit him.  Even some 3 month things I have are getting tight.

This is him in the outfit he came home in.  He was swimming in it at 3 days.  We had to roll up his sleeves and although you can't see him legs, they were floating in there.  He fits quite nicely in the sleeper now.
