Nursery is coming together

The room is painted.
The crib and change table are assembled.
The dresser is moved in.

Some of the wall decorations are up.  I decided to with Winnie the Pooh since I was given the wall plaques and a mobile.  I also have several other things Winnie the Pooh since I have always liked Winnie the Pooh.

The dresser is in place complete with some decorations.  I also love the lamp on the left side.  It isn't overpowering, and I think will be great when I have to get up in the night.  Plus speaking of Winnie the Pooh, there is a big Eeyore ( which will not sit up.)

The change table is in place, complete with diapers.

Got the rocking chair for those midnight feeds.

The rug on the floor is something that I started to make when I was 13 and finally finished when I was 20.  Nothing like procrastination.  When I started it, I thought I was making a rug for my room.  Guess it will work better in the baby's room.

Some of the decorations.  Some wooden blocks and some Pooh Bear figurines I got when I was teenager.  There are also books on the shelf.  They are Winnie the Pooh as well.

Some of the clothes that have been washed up.

The baby's first Pooh bear.  It is not the easiest to find right now where I live.  I want to get all the characters, but I have feeling I might have to order them online.

The second baby blanket I just completed.  It is a fair size and should last the little one for a while.

I just bought some little pop-up baskets to help organize some the baby's stuff.  One has socks, another has hats, and another one has bibs.

The car seat for the baby.  It is part of the Graco Alano Flipit Travel System.  My parents bought it for the baby.

The stroller part of the system.  It is pretty cool as the handle can flip to the other side so I can walk facing the baby.  I also like the pattern.  It might be hard to see in the picture, but it is a light green and grey pattern.

So that is what I have for the little one so far.  I am feeling a little less stressed now that a lot of these things are up.

Bought a wrap carrier

I am very interested in wearing my baby.  I am going to by a stretchy wrap later on, but I saw this one on Ebay and couldn't resist.  It is a mei tei.  I got it in the mail today and couldn't resist trying it out.

I needed something to try it out with so the cat fit the bill.

It holds up my 20lb cat so I am sure that it will be great with a baby.

In other news, I am 30 weeks today.  Only 10 more weeks till my due date.  I got my crib and change table last weekend.

I will be moving a white dresser into the room from my bedroom soon.  Then I will start washing some of the baby clothes that I have on hand.

It is crazy to think that in a few short weeks I will have a little one to take care of.

My mat leave starts in 7 weeks.  It is really crazy to think about that.

28weeks5day

My bump from 21 weeks looks downright tiny.  I haven't noticed my belly growing that much ( well other than it is very evident now), but it is hard to see how much I really am growing.  The pictures really help me out.

Hello 3rd Trimester

The baby is roughly 15 inches long and 2-3 lbs.  That is crazy that little Spud is getting to be so big.

I can't believe that I am already in the third trimester.  Only 3 more months to go.  I am sure that those three months will go very quickly.  There are lots of things that we need to do in that time.  We need to get a crib and finish setting up the baby's room.  I need to wash the clothes that I have ( lots of sleepers).

I haven't even taken down my Christmas tree yet, which I think will be my task for sometime this weekend.  The last few weeks of this semester of classes is finishing up so there is lots of marking to be done as reports cards will have to be completed shortly.  I have to also start planning for the second semester.  Although I won't be there for too long, I still need to have plans done for the first few weeks in case I have to leave early.

I finished crocheting one blanket and need to complete the second one.  I am sure that the next few months will go by in a big blur.

I am feeling bigger. My belly is getting harder, and Baby Spud enjoys kicking and flipping.  Pregnancy is really amazing.  The white tank tops that I wore at the beginning of my pregnancy do not fit anymore, well I can get them on, but they constantly ride up which defeats wearing them.  I also had to buy some new sweat pants as the ones I had been wearing are just too tight under my belly and not comfortable.  I found some that should hopefully last me until the end of the pregnancy.  If not then I will be stealing the Chief's PJ pants as I know that those will fit me.
