Vacation :)

The Chief and I went to Niagara Falls for a day and a half.  Next time we go, we want to stay for longer as there is so much to see, but this trip was tacked onto some training the Chief had to do in the GTA.  I have been there a few times, but hadn't really done any of the attractions.  This was the Chief's first time.
Here are the Canadian Horseshoe Falls

Our trip down there was long.  An 11 hour train ride which was thankfully on time and then a two hour go train ride to Niagara Falls.  We got there about 10 minutes after the fireworks that night which was kind of sad, but glad that we were there early than later ( which would have happened if our train had been later).

Me next to the Falls

We stayed at the Best Western as we had a deal through Niagara Parks.com.  It was a nice hotel, although the restaurant downstairs was overpriced.  Here are some pictures from our trip.
Here is the Maid of the Mist.  This boat goes right up to the base of the falls and you get pretty wet.  We went on this, but have no pictures as we didn't want to risk ruining our camera.

We also did the Journey Beneath the Falls.  It was lots of fun and I was excited to do this one since the last time I had gone in the tunnels underneath the falls, I was 6 or 7.

This is the observation deck from Journey Beneath the Falls.  It was cool to see th Falls so closely and the power of the water.

We also visited some attractions that were on the Clifton Hill Area.  There are lots of fun museums there including Ripley's Believe it or Not and Louis Tussard's Wax Museum.
This is a picture from the Wax Museum
The wax figurines looked so real.  It was almost creepy.
